About me

I am an independent documentary photographer working on assignments with Humanitarian NGOs & International news outlets, based in Barcelona and working globally.
Before that, I was based in Istanbul (Turkey) for over 5 years, and in Johannesburg (South Africa) for over 6 years, working full time as a Freelance Photographer.

I received a Master’s degree in Architecture at E.T.S.A.B. Barcelona in 2004, and also studied at U.L.P.G.C. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and L.T.H. Lund (Sweden). During my studies, I worked at Joan Prats (Art Gallery) in Barcelona. After completing my degree, I worked in several offices of Architecture in Barcelona (Spain) and New York City (USA).

My work has been published in National Geographic, Time Magazine, Newsweek, The Economist, Vanity Fair, Stern, The Washington Post, The Guardian, BBC, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar UK... and I regularly work for UNICEF, Unicef UK, UNHCR and Save the Children UK, amounting to more than 110 field missions, in more than 40 countries.

I have travelled to more than 70 countries and lived in Sweden, India, US, China, South Korea, South Africa, Turkey and currently in Spain.

I can speak Catalan, Spanish, English, and communicate in Italian, Portuguese, and French.
